Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi watched 'Pazhassi Raja', a biopic on the warrior prince who fought the East India Company with great courage in the early 19th century.

The film, breaking all box office records in Malayalam, will be released in Tamil on November 6; its Telugu, Hindi and English versions also will be released shortly.

Sarathkumar, who plays a pivotal role in the movie, was present at the show. The film, made at a cost of Rs 25 crore, has been written by MT Vasudevan Nair and directed by Hariharan. Mammootty plays the title role and Sarathkumar, his army chief.
