Ganesh Venkatraman, who impressed one and all with his power-packed performance in 'Unnai Pol Oruvan', will play the male lead in Selva's action thriller. The film, to be produced by Kavithalaya, has been titled 'Muriyadi'.

The handsome young man debuted in Tamil with Radhamohan's 'Abhiyum Naanum', in which he played a Sardarji', lover of Trisha's character. But, it was his role in 'UPO' that made producers sit up and take notice. He played a tough as nails encounter cop.

In 'Muriyadi', Ganesh will be playing a fiery criminal lawyer, one who stands up for the poor and needy. Ramya Nambisan of 'Raman Thediya Seethai' fame plays the female lead; veteran Sathiyaraj plays an important role in the film. The shooting for the film will start this month.
