Lingusamy will be directing Vijay's 51st film, it is reported. "Ilaiya Thalapathi" has already completed AVM's 'Vettaikkaran', his 49th film, and is now shooting for his golden jubilee film, 'Sura', directed by SP Rajkumar.

Earlier, it was speculated that Jeyam Raja will be directing the 51st film of the superstar. But, later, it traspired that Lingusamy had approached Vijay with a script. The superstar liked the story very much and has asked the director to proceed with the film, it is rumoured.

The director, busy with his 'Paiyya', starring Karthi and Tamannah in the lead, has said that the Vijay film will be an unuusal thriller.
